What to wear….!

Well following my “what not to wear” episode, I went shopping today with Ally, and we bought a few items for the gym.  I now have:

  • A skin tone elasticated bra of the correct size
  • A number of sports ‘singlets’ with builtin ‘support’.

These fit nicely, and came very cheap.  K-Mart seems to have been the answer to my earlier problems. 😉

What *not* to wear…

There is a good television program that Ally and I love, called, “what not to wear”, hosted by ‘Trinny’ and ‘Susanna’. If you’ve seen it you’ll know Trinny and Susanna have been on a bit of a crusade to ensure the women of Britain get the correct fitting bras. Of course I’m neither in Britain nor a woman, yet, and so I have to deal with my boobies myself. That said, I have had a little help, and I have a couple of bras; one I use in particular for the gym as it’s slightly too small, but very elasticated and holds everything where it should.

I have some lessons I needed to learn, and the hard way seems to be my lot in life, rather than having Trinny or Susanna to help. Here’s what not to do when going to the gym. Don’t wear a tight t-shirt, it tends to body hug, and your boobies tend to become noticeable. Don’t where a black bra under a white t-shirt (Doh!), especially a t-shirt that is not very thick, as a little bit of sweat will cause it to go transparent (Double Doh!). Worse still don’t do both!

Yes, guilty as charged, black bra under a tight(ish) thin(ish) wet and very transparent white t-shirt…. Little wonder people were staring, and nudging each other. 🙁

Boobies, we have boobies!

Well I’ve had boobies for a while, but today I really knew about it.  They hurt, very tender, and very much ‘budding’ they had been sensitive for a few days, but today something aggravated them and they bit back.

My answer was I put my bra on, and soon after they were a lot better.  A little reading indicates I am somewhere around Tanner Stage II and heading towards Tanner Stage III rapidly.  All indications says it can hurt, and out new receptionist found it quite funny, and suggested that as I was “budding” maybe I should wear a bra more often – like all the time, unless I wanted boobs to my knees.

The doctor again…

Well good news…

Went to to the doctors again today, to get official comment on the last two blood tests,a nd talk about things in general. Turns out that my bloods are back to normal. Yay!!

The doctor, asked about the patches, and I showed the marks, he commented about that they wouldn’t do, and that about 20% of people react to the patches (whether hormone or just nicotine etc). I commented that I was running out of viable skin to use for the patches. After a few thoughtful moments he instructed me to start taking two 2mg Progynova tables per day, and to stop the patches to allow my skin to recover.

The doctor finished by setting me up for another blood test, in November, giving me another prescription, and said unless I have problems he shouldn’t need to see me until November.

Finally I’m getting somewhere. 😉

Best news of the week…

Got the blood test results today. Liver is back to normal, the kidney function test indicates a slight lowering, but something that the doctor and the nurse are not concerned about (figures are 84 down to 70 something if anyone knows what they are?).

The week has been rather good, The doctor had prescribed a estrogen patch to have in addition to the normal drugs last Friday and Ally and I have noticed the effects this week. I have been a good person again, no mood swings, no depression type symptoms, no upsets, just happy bouncy me again.
